The purpose of Brotherhood, an affiliate of Men of Reform Judaism, is to collaborate with the Congregation of Temple Beth-El on activities that help enrich our Jewish experience and to foster cultural and educational advancement among its members.

Brotherhood is a service organization that is firmly grounded in the most important values of Judaism. Pirkei Avot, a section of the Mishnah, teaches that the world is based on three things: on Torah, on service to God, and on g’milut chasidim (usually translated as “acts of loving-kindness.) We strive to embrace these values in all we do.

Your connection to the Brotherhood may be expressed by cooking for the Beth-Elders supper, attending various Brotherhood events during the year, sponsoring youth trips to Israel and supporting MRJ (Men of Reform Judaism) through your Brotherhood membership.

We are truly interested in your participation in the Brotherhood in any capacity that you choose. We also welcome your suggestions and creativity so we can make this organization meaningful to its members and the community.
