Join us at Temple Beth-El for Armed Forces Shabbat, a moving and meaningful service honoring the brave individuals who serve our country. Together, we’ll recognize active-duty military, celebrate our beloved veterans, and remember with reverence those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Through heartfelt prayer, uplifting music, and the embrace of community, we’ll express our deep gratitude for their courage, service, and dedication.
This year’s Armed Forces Shabbat takes place the weekend before Veterans Day, making it an especially poignant time to gather. We invite you to show your spirit by wearing patriotic clothing or the colors red, white, and blue in honor of the occasion.
Come early for our PreShabbat Oneg at 6:00 PM, where you’ll have the chance to visit the Jewish War Veterans booth and connect with those who have proudly served. At 6:30 PM, services will begin, highlighted by a stirring presentation from the Color Guard.
The evening will conclude with a warm and welcoming congregational dinner, deliciously prepared by Temple Beth-El volunteers, and a chance to continue the celebration of community and gratitude around the table. As a token of our appreciation, active-duty military personnel and veterans are our honored guests and eat free.
If you are interested in volunteering to help with dinner in the Temple kitchen, please get in touch with Ross at ross@beth-elsa.org.
